Quality Assurance

After Aubrey’s family moved to Canada in 2006 from the Philippines, she felt inspired to change her studies from nursing to Tourism to suit her passion for travel and newfound love of Canada! She enjoys learning about new cultures and being connected to the outdoors, whether that’s through hiking, camping, kayaking or stargazing. She combines her personal and travel philosophies into the belief that the best way to learn and grow is to experience new destinations; and the best way to experience a new destination is to mingle with the locals and do as they would. She recommends seeing one new place a year!

What is your best travel memory in Canada?

Hiking Panorama Ridge in Garibaldi - it took us 11 hours, but the view alone was worth the effort. You can see all the nice Instagram pictures you want, but you don’t quite understand the raw beauty of this place until you’re standing in front of the turquoise lake breathing in that crisp mountain air.

Tell us about a special discovery that you’ve made in Canada.

Dining at Afghan Horseman in Granville Island, Vancouver was a wonderful discovery for me. I was able to learn about Afghan culture while tasting fine Middle Eastern cuisine. The whole experience is so authentic and the food is absolutely delicious.

What one thing in Canada should you experience at least once in your life.

Everyone should experience the thrill of bungee jumping in BC’s coastal mountains. I did mine over the Nanaimo River, and there’s also a year-round jump in Whistler just 2 hours north of Vancouver. You’ll feel unstoppable after and have the bragging rights for years to come!
