Born and raised in Vancouver, Julia has traveled throughout Canada and fallen in love with the wide variety of experiences to be found in her own country. When she isn’t busy planning itineraries to Canada, Julia can be found crocheting or updating her craft blog.

What is your favorite place in Canada and why?

I love the Yukon Territory for its pristine wilderness and open landscapes. Dawson City feels like an authentic gold rush town barely changed since the 1890s, and the people in the Yukon are friendly and down-to-earth. If you’re looking for a bit of adventure and a real unique Canadian experience, the North is the place to go!

The small seaside town of Lunenburg charmed me instantly, and is well worth the visit on any trip to Nova Scotia. Enjoy a historic walking tour with a local Lunenburger, walk on deck the famous Bluenose II tall ship, or simply relax in one of the harbor front restaurants taking in the views.

What is your favorite place in Canada and why?

Taking a helicopter ride over the Tombstone Mountains north of Dawson City in the Yukon, has to be one of my favorite experiences. The views were spectacular! The Yukon Territory with its pristine wilderness and open landscapes is still undiscovered, so you feel like a pioneer as you explore.
