Tell us about a special discovery that you’ve made in Canada?
Farewell Harbour Lodge is an all-inclusive remote wilderness lodge located between Vancouver Island and BC's mainland. It offers intimate bear and marine wildlife viewing experiences along with delicious meals and comfortable west-coast lodging. It's family owned and operated, and you really can feel that echoed throughout the entire experience - a truly hidden gem!
What is your best travel memory in Canada?
If I must choose - my most memorable Canadian adventure would be my 11 day road-trip through Newfoundland. I was absolutely charmed by the colorful fishing communities, welcoming locals, delicious seafood, and stunning scenery. Highlights include: hiking (and dining!) in Trinity, experiencing the community host program with Fogo Island Inn, and cruising the Western Brook Pond in Gros Morne National Park.
What one thing in Canada should you experience at least once in your life?
A Rockies getaway in the wintertime! It offers a new perspective of Canada's prized gem without the crowds and with an added layer of magic. There's nothing like looking out the window from a cozy lodge after a day of ice canyon exploring and skiing to see a white blanket of snow drape frozen lakes and towering mountains. It's the kind of vacation that will have you over-using the word 'magical' and you won't even feel bad about it.
