What is your favorite place in Canada?
Why Vancouver of course! What is not to love? Such a multicultural, forward thinking city whilst being ideally situated to explore regions such as Vancouver Island, America’s western seaboard and Alaska, and the Canadian Rockies. I really enjoy cycling the seawall in Stanley Park, swimming in the 175 metre outdoor poor in Kitsilano Beach, and also visiting the numerous breweries on Main Street, a trendy area south of the city.
What one thing in Canada should you experience at least once in your life?
Trekking – whether it is doing the Grouse Grind in Vancouver, escalating to the top of the Sea to Sky Gondola near Squamish or finding the secret Edge of the World in Jasper National Park, each walk is always so rewarding in both the scenery and wildlife you encounter. It is after all, the Great Outdoors!
What is your best travel memory in Canada?
Canada Day Fireworks aboard the Hornblower Cruise was quite magical. Seeing the falls lit up in all their glory followed by renting bikes around the beautiful Niagara on the Lake region where we sampled world class wines and the regions specialty ice wine made for a memorable experience.
