Departs Vancouver

Day 1 Vancouver to Kamloops (Coach) Your journey through Western Canada begins with a early-afternoon departure from downtown Vancouver. Travel through the lush Fraser Delta Region and the towering peaks of the Coastal Mountains, before entering the Fraser River Canyon. Follow the Fraser River until the town of Hope for a short rest and to view the spectacular coastal mountains around us. From Hope continue upwards to the sub alpine region via the Coquihalla Highway. Along this route watch the landscape change dramatically as you gain altitude. Travel from lush coastal forest, to sub alpine, to Canadian desert en-route to your destination at the historic, train-era, Plaza Hotel, in downtown Kamloops.

Day 2 Kamloops to Banff (Coach) Continue your journey from Kamloops. Witness the landscape change from wide open skies to towering rugged peaks as you ascend into the Rocky Mountains. Stop for lunch in the alpine town of Revelstoke before continuing through the untouched wilderness of Roger’s Pass. Stand on the shores of Lake Louise surrounding by towering mountains, and take a quick stroll around the lake. If travelling to Banff, continue along the Bow Valley Parkway through the heart of Banff National Park. Your tour concludes upon arrival into Banff (breakfast & lunch is included today)

Day 3 Morning sightseeing tour of Banff with Gondola This morning, tour the town of Banff and its environs. Among the highlights are visits to the Hoodoos (shaped by centuries of wind) & Bow Valley Viewpoint, Surprise Corner, Bow Falls, Lake Minnewanka and Bankhead: an abandoned mining town and the relic of Banff’s industrial past. At the end of the tour you will be taken to the Banff Gondola for a breathtaking ascent to the pinnacle of Sulphur Mountain for an aweinspiring 360-degree panorama of sheer mountain majesty. Return to downtown Banff at your leisure. (transfer not included)

Day 4 Banff to Calgary (Coach) This morning is free to explore Banff before your scheduled coach to Calgary departs midday. Follow the Trans Canada Highway and leave the Rocky Mountains to the Great Central Plains that roll to the east for 2000 kilometres and extend as far south as Mexico. This is ‘cattle ranching country’ and the breadbasket of Canada. Arrive Calgary mid afternoon with drop-off at Calgary Airport or downtown hotels.

Day 1 Calgary to Banff (Coach) Leave the Stampede City of Calgary @ 12.00 noon on the express service to Banff where you will have ample opportunity to take in the sights.

Day 2 Morning Sightseeing of Banff This morning, tour the town of Banff and its environs. Among the highlights are visits to the Hoodoos (shaped by centuries of wind) & Bow Valley Viewpoint, Surprise Corner, Bow Falls, Lake Minnewanka and Bankhead: an abandoned mining town and the relic of Banff’s industrial past. At the end of the tour you will be taken to the Banff Gondola for a breathtaking ascent to the pinnacle of Sulphur Mountain for an awe inspiring 360-degree panorama of sheer mountain majesty. Return to downtown Banff at your leisure. (transfer not included)

Day 3 Banff to Kamloops (Coach) Today your coach takes you on the famed Trans-Canada Highway following a route charted by the railroad engineers and fur traders of the mid 1800s. Leaving Banff National Park, travel to Yoho National Park where you cross the continental divide. Continue on through Glacier National Park and Rogers Pass with spectacular mountain vistas in every direction. Travel through the Monashee Mountain Range and pass Shuswap Lake to Sicamous - the “Houseboat Capital of Canada”.Tonight’s destination at the historic, train-era, Plaza Hotel, in downtown Kamloops. (lunch is included today)

Day 4 Kamloops to Vancouver (Coach) The landscape changes dramatically as we climb from the Canadian desert area of Kamloops into the sub alpine region of Coquihalla Pass and the imposing Cascade Mountains. After the pass descend quickly into the Fraser River Valley. En-route stop in Hope for a short rest and views of the spectacular coastal mountains around us. The last leg of the journey takes you through the lush farming region of the Fraser Valley to arrive in the Pacific port city of Vancouver early afternoon. (breakfast is included today)
