Linda Bramkamp

Product Operations Supervisor

Born and raised in Germany, Linda completed a Bachelor in Tourism Management in the Netherlands. During her studies, she travelled through the US, Europe, South-East-Asia, and spent one semester each in Australia and Canada. None of her experiences abroad inspired her as much as her time in Canada; so she returned after graduation to start a career here in the Canadian tourism industry. Since then she has been working for Discover Holidays and enjoys living in beautiful British Columbia. Outside of tourism, she is passionate about horseback riding.

What is your best travel memory in Canada?

I still remember the moment I first saw Lake Peyto in Banff National Park. It was on a road trip through the Canadian Rockies back in 2011 and I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw that beautiful lake. It looked so perfect that my eyes started watering - it was a moment of pure joy and happiness which I will never forget.

What is your favorite place in Canada?

My favorite place in Canada is Vancouver – it is a beautiful, modern city surrounded by the sea and mountains which is why I call myself lucky to live here. Amongst my favourite spots in the city are Canada Place, Granville Island, Spanish Banks, and the Lighthouse Park.

Tell us about a special discovery that you’ve made in Canada?

The Davison Orchards in the Okanagan Valley around Thanksgiving time. It’s a family farm with fruit trees, farm animals, and a huge pumpkin field where you can pick your own pumpkin. With their harvested apples they produce freshly pressed apple juice, hot apple cider and delicious apple cider donuts. Do I need to say more?!
