Mia Takeuchi

Operations Assistant

Born and raised in a small rural town in Aichi, Japan, Mia moved to Vancouver three years ago to expand her knowledge and explore the world. With every day in the tourism industry offering a new adventure, Mia loves that she learns something new every day and can get to know people from all over the world. Vancouver is known as a multicultural city in Canada, which makes it the perfect base for both work and play. In her spare time, Mia golfs, goes for walks through different neighborhoods, hikes the local mountains in search of wildlife and eats her way through Vancouver's culinary scene.

What is your favorite place in Canada?

I can easily get specific here: Kitsilano Beach in Vancouver! The sunset views are spectacular, and there's always something to see or do whether it's seals, beavers, eagles, ice cream, or something else entirely. I absolutely love going down to the beach in my spare time to sit within nature and enjoy the sights.

Tell us about a special discovery that you’ve made in Canada.

Inverhuron Provincial Park in Ontario is located along the edge of Lake Huron, and it is without a doubt the most beautiful place I have ever discovered in Canada. The water is very clear and warm and there are even sand dunes to enjoy! I had such an unforgettable time just being there.

What one thing in Canada should you experience at least once in your life?

Grab the Niagara Adventure pass and discover more remote places in the Niagara Region. That would definitely be my first recommendation to anyone coming to Canada. Even after the tour ends, the buzz and excitement lasts for days!
