Cape Breton Island
Located on the northern part of Nova Scotia, Cape Breton takes you through landscapes reminiscences of the Scottish Highlands.
Meander along rolling hills overlooking breathtaking seascapes; discover the abundant flora and fauna of the Cape Breton Highlands National Park and experience the rich cultural heritage of this extraordinary 'rock in the stream' called Cape Breton!
Cape Breton Island offers some of the most scenic coastal drives in all of Canada. Here you’ll find the famous Cabot Trail, a highway and scenic roadway measuring 298KM (185 miles) in length and completes a loop around the northern tip of the island. The northern section of the Cabot Trail passes through Cape Breton Highlands National Park. The western and eastern sections follow the rugged coastline, providing spectacular views of the ocean. The southwestern section passes through the Margaree River valley before passing along Bras d'Or Lake.
