Charlottetown, located on the island of Prince Edward Island (PEI) is Canada’s Birthplace. Made famous by the Charlottetown Conference in 1864 from which Canada was born.
Here you’ll discover one of the many festivals celebrated throughout the seasons and sample the food that makes the city famous. The city is walkable and safe, in Charlottetown you will never be far from shopping, world class theatre; including Anne of Green Gables the Musical, historic sites, and the most beautiful golf courses you’ll ever see.
You can reach PEI via The Confederation Bridge from New Brunswick on the curved, 12.9 kilometre (8 mile) long bridge. This is the longest bridge in the world crossing ice-covered water, and more than a decade after its construction, it endures as one of Canada’s top engineering achievements of the 20th century.
