Historically a fishing port, the town colorful homes fronting Lunenburg Harbour is an idyllic destination like nowhere else in Canada. A visit to the Fisheries Museum of the Atlantic, you can experience life in a fishing community, magnificent aquariums and their showcase of wharf-side vessels.
One of Lunenburg’s most popular vessels is the Bluenose Schooner who for two decades, reigned over the North Atlantic and brought fame to Captain Angus Walters, his crew and the province of Nova Scotia with numerous wins in international races.
