Peak to Peak Gondola For stunning 360-degree views of snow-covered Whistler Village and soaring mountains – a ride on the Peak 2 Peak Gondola is not to be missed! The ride spans over 2 mountain ranges with a length of 4.4KM/2.73mi with a ride time of just 11 minutes! It holds world records for the longest free span between ropeway towers—3.03 kilometres (1.88 miles) and highest point above the ground—436 metres (1,430 feet.) Each gondola cabin can hold up to 28 people each with 26 seating and 6 standing plus 2 special gondolas with glass floors.

Golfing With 4 champion golf courses designed by world renowned golfers and set amongst remarkable mountain ranges, Whistler offers you superb playing conditions in fresh mountain air. Such as the Nicklaus North Golf Course - Nicklaus North is only the second Canadian course designed by Jack Nicklaus and, of the 150 courses he's designed worldwide, this is the only course to which Jack has been compelled to add his name. WinterPRIDE Festival: Late January Whistler is proud to host WinterPRIDE, one of the biggest and best gay and lesbian ski weeks in North America. The LGBTQ pride week features a packed events schedule of skiing, snowboarding, parties, dances and social events.

GO Fest, Whistler’s Great Outdoors Festival: Victoria Day Long-weekend, mid May Celebrates Whistler’s frat outdoors in springtime where winter and summer meet.

The North Face Whistler Half Marathon: Early June The Whistler Half Marathon race takes place on a 21.1 kilometre course that includes Whistler’s main village. The gently-rolling course also winds through nearby neighbourhoods and along Whistler’s already-popular running paths, offering spectacular mountain views throughout.

Subaru IRONMAN Canada: Late July This incredible swim-bike-run race format takes place in and around Whistler's lakes, roads and trails.

Crankworx Whistler Freeride Mountain Bike Festival: Mid August This is the ultimate freeride mountain bike festival! Bring your bike, stay for the week and enjoy the heady mix of racing, demos, competitions, concerts and after parties.

RBC GranFondo Whistler: Early September Be part of one of the most anticipated cycling events on the West Coast when you join fellow road cycling enthusiasts in the RBC GranFondo Whistler. Cycle from Vancouver to Whistler on the Sea to Sky Highway, 122 kilometres of winding mountain road with stunning views across Howe Sound and the Coast Mountain Range. Recreational, advanced and elite level cyclists are encouraged to participate.

TELUS Golf Classic: Mid-September The TELUS Golf Classic is an 18-hole scramble. Partake in a fun-filled day of golf including a picnic lunch and refreshments out on the course followed by a buffet dinner with live entertainment.

Cornucopia Whistler Food and Wine Festival: Early-Mid November Cornucopia is Whistler's food and drink extravaganza, celebrating the culinary arts from Whistler and beyond. Chefs, sommeliers, brewers, vintners, restaurateurs and health and wellness experts gather in the mountains to share culinary secrets through tastings, seminars, special winery dinners and sparkling after-parties.

New Year’s Eve Celebrations: This alcohol-free evening of family entertainment and celebration in Whistler Village draws in locals and international travellers from around the globe. Each year it’s topped off with a special Fire & Ice Show and a dazzling midnight fireworks display.

The area is best known for its superb downhill skiing and snowboarding. While it receives an average annual snowfall of 914 cm, Whistler's coastal proximity ensures moderate temperatures through the winter season. In fact, the average daily minimum temperature in Whistler Village is -5° C during most of the winter months.

During the rest of the year, Whistler is an ideal destination for outdoor activities; temperatures reach an average daily high of 27º C during the summer months of July and August.
