The below itinerary is only a suggestion, we offer tailor-made personal service and solutions to help you plan your perfect vacation.

Day 1 Vancouver to Kamloops (Rail)
All aboard Rocky Mountaineer! Today you'll take the scenic rail journey to Kamloops in the interior of British Columbia, passing through the rich fields of the Fraser River Valley and the towering peaks of the Coastal Mountains before entering the Fraser Canyon. Follow the Thompson River through spectacular landscapes to arrive in Kamloops for the night.

Day 2 Kamloops to Jasper (Rail)
Back on board the Rocky Mountaineer this morning, follow the Thompson River through rolling plateaus to the snowy peaks of the Monashee Mountains. View Pyramid Falls and the expansive glaciers of the Albreda Icefields, then pass by Mount Robson, which at 3954 meters is the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies. Arrive in Jasper by late afternoon.

Day 3 Jasper to Banff Sightseeing Tour (Coach)
Travel by coach today along one of the most scenic highways in North America - the Icefields Parkway. Visit the Columbia Icefield that covers an area of nearly 325 sq km and reaches a depth of 320 meters. Time allows for an Ice Explorer ride (included) on the Athabasca Glacier, then a stop at the award-winning Glacier Skywalk (included) to experience a glass-floored observation platform 280 meters over spectacular glacier-formed valleys and rushing waterfalls. Continuing along the Icefields Parkway, stops will be made at Lake Louise, Bow & Peyto Lakes, the Crowfoot Glacier and the Athabasca Falls. This highway is renowned for sightings of bears, elk, moose & mountain sheep so keep your camera handy!
Please note: Mountain lakes in this region will be frozen through to mid-June

Day 4 Morning Sightseeing Tour of Banff with Gondola
Banff awaits this morning with visits to the Hoodoos (shaped by centuries of wind) & Bow Valley Viewpoint, Surprise Corner, Bow Falls, Lake Minnewanka and Bankhead: an abandoned mining town and the relic of Banff's industrial past. At the end of the tour you will be taken to the Banff Gondola for a breathtaking ascent to the pinnacle of Sulphur Mountain for an awe-inspiring 360-degree panorama of sheer mountain majesty.

Day 5 Banff to CMH Heli Hiking Lodge (Coach)
Depart Banff this morning and travel through Banff and Kootenay National Parks to get to the Bugaboos Helipad. After a short flight, meet the Lodge Manager for your room assignment and head to the equipment room to be outfitted with all the necessary gear. You will then have lunch at the lodge, take part in a helicopter safety talk and fly up for an afternoon of hiking in some of the world's most stunning mountains. Return back to the lodge later in the day for apres-hiking appetizers and relaxation.

Day 6-7 CMH Heli Hiking
After an optional stretch class make your way up to the dining room for delicious and hearty breakfast. Then pack your lunch for the day and be divided into groups according to the activity level and adventure you've chosen. Set out by helicopter with your guide to spend the day exploring the immense variety of landscapes. Choose classic hiking, walking or one of the adventure trails such as the Skyladder Via Ferrata and the Bugaboo Spires Glacier Trek. After a memorable day, fly back to the lodge for snacks and beverages; have a massage (not included), take in the sauna or outdoor hot tub before dinnertime.

Day 8 CMH Heli Hiking Lodge to Calgary (Coach)
Shortly after breakfast, it's time to say goodbye to the lodge. Once everyone is down at the helipad, you'll retrace the journey through Kootenay and Banff National Parks back to Banff. Following the Trans-Canada Highway, depart the Rocky Mountains to the Great Central Plains that roll to the east for 2000 kilometers and extend as far south as Mexico. This is 'cattle ranching country' and the breadbasket of Canada. Arrive at Calgary airport where your vacation ends.
