Day 1 Arrive Vancouver
Upon arrival in Vancouver spend time exploring the city on your own. Canada’s third-largest metropolitan centre, Vancouver is a busy port city with a thriving multi-cultural ambiance. The city is located in a spectacular setting with the Coast Mountains across Burrard Inlet to the north, and the waters of the Strait of Georgia to the west. Restaurants, shopping, nightlife, a mild climate and a cosmopolitan atmosphere make Vancouver a favourite tourist destination.
Day 2 Vancouver to Whistler (122 km/76 mi)
This morning depart Vancouver along the scenic Sea-to-Sky Highway to Whistler. Highlights along the way include the cascading Shannon Falls and the Stawamus Chief Rock where climbers from all over the globe migrate to climb the granite cliffs.
Discover the Squamish Lil'wat Cultural Centre in Whistler showcasing the distinct cultures of the Squamish and Lil'wat Nations, two Aboriginal peoples of British Columbia. This extraordinary experience will include colorful original pieces of indigenous art, historical and contemporary exhibits, textiles, cedar carvings, priceless collections, song, dance, traditional food, live artist demonstrations, interactive programs and an exploratory outdoor component.
Day 3 Whistler to Chase (355 km/220 mi)
Begin your spectacular drive on the Duffey Lake Road where you will see breathtaking views of Joffre Glacier. Continue on through Lillooet known as the land of the Gold Rush Trail and onto Cache Creek. Arrive in Chase located on the shore of Little Shuswap Lake and make your way to your accommodation.
Day 4 Chase and Shuswap Exploring
Discover the warmth and heritage of the Little Shuswap Lake Indian Band. Enjoy a round of golf at your resort or a self-guided canoe ride along the quiet waters of Little Shuswap Lake.
Day 5 Chase to Osoyoos (261 km/162 mi)
Departing Chase today, you are now entering the Shuswap area of British Columbia. With one thousand kilometers (600 miles) of shoreline possessing 25 marine parks, sandy beaches, private coves and narrow channels, this area deserves its distinction of being 'The Houseboating Capital of Canada.' Continue through the fertile Okanagan Valley, known for its wineries and viticulture and journey through the main cities of Vernon, Kelowna and Penticton.
Watch the scenery and geology around you change as you continue south into the hot, arid desert of the Osoyoos Lake Region. This area is well-known for boating and water activities, as well as the diverse and interesting grapes grown in this unique micro-climate. Visit the many wineries in this area for a sampling of the wines made from these grapes.
Day 6 Osoyoos Exploring
A free day to explore. The region features vineyards offering different wines than the northern valley in Kelowna and there is always the lake itself for you to enjoy.
Discover the first Aboriginal owned and operated winery in North America at Nk’Mip Cellars (not included). Nk’Mip Cellars Winery offers year-round wine tasting, award winning wines, a restaurant with a patio, a wine shop and winery tours.
Explore the extensive indoor and outdoor exhibit galleries and hands on displays at Nk’Mip Desert cultural Centre (not included). Learn about the fascinating stories of Canada’s only desert and share in the rich living culture of the Okanagan people.
Day 7 Osoyoos to Vancouver (398 km/247 mi)
An amazing trip awaits you today, from Osoyoos to Vancouver. Travel west along the Crowsnest Highway. Along the way stop at any of the roadside stalls offering for sale during the long summer day's cherries, apples, apricots, pears, peaches, grapes and plums.
From Hope, turn onto the Trans-Canada Highway and begin descending from the mountains through some of the most beautiful landscapes in the province. This dramatic change of environment is always exhilarating, as you go from bright sunlight on the high rock faces to misty coastal cedars and tall firs in the space of half an hour.
